So much for "re-branding," I guess:
For the second year in a row, gay conservative group GOProud has been banned from the CPAC conference, the annual gathering of top conservatives in the nation.
“We got kicked out last year because we are gay,” tweeted GOProud Executive Director Jimmy LaSalvia. “Nothing has changed. We won’t be at CPAC.”
While CPAC’s governing group decided to exclude the gay group from the event almost two years ago,
the latest news remained stunning, considering the GOP’s recent
attempts at inclusion following the party’s devastating loss in the 2012
presidential election, most notably among Latino, female, and gay
voting blocs.
